If you have a need for Addressing Services to apply labels, production work, etc. click on our Addressing Services Request form (pdf) or online Addressing request form.
Addressing Service accesses data files which contain UCSD campus directory information and mailing addresses for all members of the University community. This information provided in the form of a mail list(s), are designed to reach a combination of faculty, staff, key administrators and business officers. A mail list may be prepared as labels. Also provided are services such as folding, inserting, sealing, tabbing, stapling and bulk mail imprinting. (See the Production Work page for more information) An Addressing Service Request Form (F02004, 7/91), sold at the Storehouse is necessary for us to provide any of these requested services.
We can also update your mail list(s) through our Mailers+4 Software. This service provides address standardization, per US Postal Service address files, and will add the appropriate ZIP+4 zip code. The list can be sent to us via a PC based computer in a fixed length text file, delimited text file or a dBASE file.
Addressing Services runs a Paradox based application which maintains seventy five internal and ten external mailing lists. Variations of these list may be created upon request. Mail Services can create, add, delete or change any list or address on a list. List categories include PPM, OMDC, Academic Series, General Campus Series, U.C. Medical Center and Specialty lists. In addition, customers may provide their own address files in Paradox dB, fixed length text and/or dbf format. Addressing Services is able to print addresses directly onto material or print addresses on plain and Avery paper.
Accumail Cleansing
Addressing Services maintains a Group 1 Accumail Software application. Customers may provide their own address files in Paradox dB, fixed length text and/or dbf format, which are then run through the Accumail program. The application corrects, via an error code, all "bad" addresses and also adds a +4 Zip Code to all "good" addresses.
